    UPDATE:

Relatives arrived Friday night.  All okay until.....

He brought me the customary bottle of vodka....

Now, I just plain old don't drink alcohol straight, and I have NEVER drank vodka straight, not even as a teenager.    Well.....    I play around drinking mixed drinks and wine, but I just don't drink very seriously.

I just had to oblige him.    4 shots later, I was drunk.  No kidding.  My wife told me this was making a good impression on him.  Anything for family harmony.

You guys were all exactly right.  I just didn't believe you.  I shoulda started drinking a month ago.  I would feel a whole lot better.Stick out tongue

Leah, We have three. Husband, wife (Natasha's niece), and their daughter who is 9. We have a houseful considering 4 of us already live in my house. Now we are 7. Thank God I have a 8 place table in my dining room. I also have a 4 bedroom house, so, though we are tight, we have a room for everyone.

Re: Relatives visiting USA from Ukraine for first time

    Update:

Ukrainian relatives party hard on 4th of July.   Sasha outdrinks all Americans and stays sober.   Amazing spectacle of former Soviet soldier setting off fireworks in backyard of American home and having great time and doing better job than Americans (probobly only one sober)Stick out tongue.   Runs away from lit fuse pretty fast also.   I am Learning more every day.   So far,  I have avoided drinking any more Vodka.   Liver has fully recovered from first episode.

Ukrainian women fix Salad with multi layers , among layers, mayonaisse, carrots, beets, onion, herring... etc.... Don't know what it was called, but it was good.   Women also fixed a herring deviled egg with onion.   These were a little strange to me but pretty good.    Didn't see how they made this, but I think smashed up egg yolks with herring.

We will be visiting Rock City and Ruby Falls in Chattanooga Sunday,  Then Next Saturday,  on to Ocala/Orlando to see Sea World, Discovery Cove, Walt Disney World, Busch Gardens, Silver Springs, JFK Space Center   (Sasha believes Americans staged whole moon landing thing...  "Hollywood"  he saysWink )   Not sure how to convince him otherwise except take him to see some moon rocks.  Not even sure this will suffice.

    Updates soon.
