 AHTOH:I have been making Netflix DVDs forever and a day now. Definitely cheaper than buying.
I've gone blueray all the way :) I don't know what to do anymore in that regard :) Lately, I do a lot of streaming (blockbuster, netflix) and on demand from DirecTV.... My parents got a Roku and can get streaming from Amazon which probably is the best selection of stuff out there....very good quality they say.

Well, besides all the beutiful skin shots :) I love the story, the narration and the soundtrack is awesome. The girl that's in the center of the isle, the one that's on the cover, she's Ukranian, BTW.

true dat. good sound, nice slow mo, and hot ladies. the only thing I did not get was the overall theme did not go anywhere...just kind of a mellow flick, and I like some action and plot development

I am eager to watch that movie. Seems like it's a good one.. Sam Rockwell and Kevin Spacey, that's not shabby. Both are good actors. I have worries though. Is it a remake of Solaris? (not with that Clooney dude they recently made… Tarkovsky's I mean, the old one). I'll watch it, Anton, and i'll get back to you as soon as I can. If I see some similarities I will scream at you :). Hey… just kidding :)

And while I am at that... The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (1966). The best western ever made… I think. I've just watched the extended version of it in hi-def. Highly recommend. If you watch it, it's like you are present there… in the old west. Clint Eastwood is ok, bc Sergio Leone made him suffer enough in his other older italian western spaghetti movies. Eli Wallach is the one who takes the show. Great acting! Five stars out of five. I really like the scene when Eli Wallach's character robs the gun owner and picks up the gun he wants, and then he makes rearrangements with the gadgets and makes, right in front of you, his own true gun. That scene is awesome!

Not a fan of Woody Allen, but Vicky, Christina was excellent. Moon - interesting twist, but kinda. . . didn't hook me, watched it in two sittings. Nothing like Solaris.
