Alla, I know what you feel. But think about it. Those people just follow instructions and if you look at this - it make sence. There are lot of perverts and just bad people who wants to take advantage over old people. There are so many mail and phone scams directed toward them. So security at those homes is mostly to stop those things.....

as far as pensionui dom goes, agree with all the above, polina are you talking about "belui dom" there is like a number to the office and they'll let you in... for the id checking, i don't mind if they follow instructions but first of all,at least they need to be consistent i only get asked once in a while plus i could understand if they compared the name on my id to the name i signed on the book but they don't. i showed it a couple of times with my finger over my picture which didn't bother them either.... something else that pisses me off when i go to visit grandparents, in order to get to the door nado kak pravilo nado proiti cherez stroi babushek na skameikax kotorue tebya osmotret, obsydyat i ochenyat in a matter of seconds...if i'm treated like a model i would like to get paid for it

Here's my thing: where I work, I have to show them my id badge everytime i enter the building. So, first I show the badge to the dude at the entrance to the parking garage, then show the badge to the dude at the door. Plus, if you have any bags with you (even lunch bag), they have to look at it, just to make sure everything is ok, a to vdrug ya tudi chavonibud polojil, (kogbudto kormanov netu). Well, I dont mind showing my id in 2 places, BUT what if I dont have any bags with me, the logical thing is to go to the front of the line (which by the way forms rather quickly since there is only one person who checks all the bags, and some ppl have 2 or 3 bags with them, what in the world are they carrying with them to work?) and just show the badge and go thru, but no, you have to stay in line just to show them the id. Waste of time...

I am not even starting to say anything about traffic, nor how ppl in ATL drive. I have to get up really early in the morning, so that i wouldnt get stuck for an hour in the morning, and 1.5 in the afternoon. Ok, thats about it for now
