Relatives visiting USA from Ukraine for first time

Natasha's relatives from Ukraine are coming to visit in mid June.   They are going to stay for appx 2 months.   Can I acquire from each of you and discuss, your "must see and do" list as if your relatives were visiting for the first time to the USA?    The list may not be limited to the Southeast but let's keep it real and practical.

    Thanks,  Mark

You may want to take them to see Rock City and Ruby Falls in Chattanooga.  Calloway gardens is also a nice place.

    A fun day in Midtown:

Botanical gardens, then head over to the High Museum in the afternoon.  Walk down Peachtree from the High down to the Margaret Mitchell house for a quick tour on Gone With The Wind.  Cross the street for dinner at Silk.  Call ahead and reserve the private booth at Silk and try the salmon.  Maybe grab a drink at one of the outdoor patios (TAP, the new W hotel, ).

And don't forget to take them to the Sun Dial at the top of the Westin (80th floor) for the best view in Georgia.

I have included on my list Rock City and Ruby Falls in Chattannoga.   Also, planning a trip down the middle of FL  to Silver Springs, Disney World, and Sea World.   Also, already planning a trip to Panama City Beach.  We have also included a side trip to Gallinburg/Pigeon Forge.

I especially like the information about atlanta.   What is elan?

    What is elan?

Chateau Elan. Winery and spa. Nice view with ridiculously overpriced the most horrible wine you can find on this planet. You have to try it to believe :) http://www.chateauelan.com/

If you want to show GA country side with wine tasting try "Three sisters", "Frog town", "Wolf mountain" and other wineries in Dahlonega. Very nice day trip. Frog Town and Three Sisters are very nice! Located next to each other.  http://maps.google.com/maps?rls=com.microsoft:en-us:IE-SearchBox&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&sourceid=ie7&um=1&q=wine&near=Dahlonega,+GA&fb=1&view=text&sa=X&oi=local_group&resnum=1&ct=more-results&cd=1

Knowing drinking habbits of Ukranians trip to Las Vegas might be a better option.

Las Vegas? What to drink in Las Vegas? Overpriced vine bars have pretty pathetic selection. MGM has happy hour where you can get 2 for 1 of nice wine I think from 5 till 7 or something. There is one "okay", well almost good microbrewery in Monte Carlo (fresh shrimp! Get a bucket of them with crisp cold pitcher!). I am not very familiar with outside of the strip so there are may be something around I don't know.

Now if we're talking about THE BEST in the world wine and food experience go to Napa. Stay there for a week, get taste of local food and wine. This is my type of laid back vacation ;)

    Sergey,

Why did you stop posting your recipes and photos of your meals?  I enjoyed that.

My in-laws arrived from Russia. They're cooking now. By the way when I said "RUN" I knew what I was talking about. Where's that bottle of Vodka... ;)

:D  Hide extra vodka in the garage.  That's what my best friend does when his mother and grandmother come to stay for a few days.  Then he takes the trash out the garage really, really often.  ;)

Hot vodka straight from the bottle? Shock therapy at its best.
