The aging hippies next door (I don't even mean that in a derogatory way...usually I adore aging hippies) have grandsons (?) visiting today. I hope it's just for today. The neighbors are constantly moving various people (I'm assuming relatives, but who knows) in with them for a month or three. The next to last bunch of move-ins refused to ever lock the outer security door and the last bunch managed to actually break it. And they are always, always, always LOUD!
Anyway, the two alleged grandsons keep stomping around the back vestibule, up and down the stairs and then up again, yelling the entire time. I'm in the room furthest from the vestibule, but it sounds like they are in the room with me. I'm jumpy about noise in general. This is just too much. After a few rounds in the vestibule, they run up and down the sidewalk just outside my windows, still yelling. Occasionally, they stop to press their noses to my windows and look at me or the cats. I've already screamed in surprise twice in the past hour. I feel violated.
This has to stop. I'm trying to decide between making a batch of benadryl laced jello shots to offer to the boys, or just moving the cd player into the kitchen (the room that opens onto said vestibule) and blasting opera from it. Maybe both. Now where did I leave the cd of Madame Butterfly....
Have any horrible neighbor stories to share? Misery loves company, you know. ;)
